We talk about Sina Weibo, a microblogging platform that has swept the country and how it has affected the way people interact but, perhaps more importantly, their relationship with their government.

We speculate on how as to Chinese officials’ mindset, their reasons for reacting as poorly as they do, and whether Sina or microblogging has a future in the Chinese internet.
